I thought that franchise was finally dead! Sheesh... even now Trekkies are crying in each other's arms in theaters across the world sobbing tears of joy... well until one of them lifts his voice in scorn and says, "They got it all wrong! The nacells were 3 meters longer, and the front antenna array was the wrong shade of blue!!!"

Anyway, I got nothing to raise you on a Star Trek vid.... so here's a cute bear dealing with an alien invasion.

Hadn't even heard of them before, but I like what you've posted... particularly the Humans are dead!

The TV series follows these two guys who moved to NYC from New Zeland as they try to get their music career off the ground (think of an indy Spinal Tap). The problem is these characters are so dumb and so oblivious it makes it hard for me to take much at a time. Sometimes I'm laughing and sometimes I'm embarrassed and uncomfortable for them. That make sense?

What makes the series fun is they get in situations and start performing/fantasizing music videos in their minds to suit the situation...and most of those are hilarious.

Here's an actual cut from the first episode of the series. They lyrics had me in tears!

Same episode, kind of a spoiler though...

My favorite character is Mel, their one fan.

I don't know if I'm the last one on the planet to see the final spoof video but I thought it was really hilarious. I don't watch Jimmy Kimmel so I didn't know about the running joke with Matt Damon until I heard about Sarah Silverman's video. I saw it a while ago but didn't know there was a response. heh

So starting at the beginning for those who missed it. Both Jimmy and Matt have since confirmed that this was staged, though Matt does look pretty angry. But he is an actor. heh

Then came Sarah's video

I really think his rebuttal is the best one though...

See if you can spot Brad Pitt (totally didn't recognise him) Joan Jett, Robin Williams, Perry Farrell (from Jane's Addiction etc), Macy Gray, Cameron Diaz, Huey Lewis, Don Cheadle, Pete Wentz (from Fallout Boy), Benji and Joel Madden (from Good Charlotte), Lance Bass (from N'Sync), Josh Groban, Christina Applegate, Rebecca Romijn, and a hilarious bit with Harrison Ford. There were some others in there I didn't recognise.

This is a brilliant April Fool's joke! Apparently YouTube linked all of their front page videos to "Never Going to Give You up."

Rickrolled by YouTube!
