Problem with forum

I'm not sure what settings are responsible, but I can't log into this forum 90% of the time with Firefox. It works everytime in IE though... which I use at work. I really don't want to switch back to IE at home though. End result is that I cant' read the forum much now evenings and weekends.
 
Well... I use Firefox and I haven't been experience any problems.

I will say that our provider has been having some server downtime during the last couple days as they move to new hardware. This has caused some minor downtime and lag delays... it also impacts Outsider Domination's boards as well since we use the same provide. I noticed this last night since I was unable to access both sites.

Is anyone else having any problems?
 
Perhaps that's it, but it is odd that I can always log in with IE, but most times lately with Firefox it just won't log me in... and then sometimes it will. I recall E talking about a similar problem earlier this week, not sure if it's still causing her problems.
 
I have had the problem both with Explorer at work and Firefox at home, though far more with Firefox. It doesn't remember my login with Firefox, and doesn't accept my password most of the time. I've been totally locked out for too many attempts twice. I even had Palma reset my password to confirm I had it right, and I let firefox remember my log in and password...so it can't be that I typed it wrong

Sometimes it tells me its invalid but most of the time it doesn't even acknowledge that I've tried to log in.

I'm typing this on Explorer through my work computer because my password isn't being accepted on my home computer with Firefox. So it's definitely not that the site is down. :(
 
I had no problems at all with the old forum (and still don't) so there is something different about the new one. At a guess, I'm thinking that the new forum expects something that my default installation of Firefox does not have. They only thing I've added to the default install is Flash.

I keep my Firefox as simple and secure as possible.
 
Wierd...

Well, this was a standard install of PHPbb. The only add-on being the smileys and the 2nd style. Not sure what could be causing it to deny you password.

Have you all changed you password recently? It could have been a problem with the database transfer and may have corrupted your profile. Maybe changing you password could resolve the issue.

Thoughts?
 
That was it! I cleared out all the cookies, which will be slightly annoying when I revisit each site for the first time, but it fixed the problem. Hurray!

(insert stupid joke about blowing your cookies)
